Busy crowds descended upon Baysgarth House Museum today to enjoy their wonderful Christmas Fayre, that was full of a wide variety of stalls, refreshments, live music and of course Santa himself. Not forgetting all the exhibitions in the museum that were on display, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. There was a great atmosphere, not least helped along by the premiere performance of the Barton Town Community Band! I of course was on duty in the band, so thanks to Annabel for taking photos for this post.
"Welcome to Baysgarth House Museum Christmas Fayre"
All the way from Humberston for this special event.
"You were late!".. "Half 12 you said, and can you move a bit, you're too close!"
The band playing some carols.
Museum volunteers on the book stall.
Cornet and Trombone players hard at work.
Selling home-made Christmas decorations.
Sophie and Bethany Evison.. in hats.
The raffle ladies.. tempting us with their fabulous prizes.
Selling pickles and onions..
It's Santa himself! Taking a rest before another visit.
Thought this was a wonderful day out and obviously so much effort and careful planning had gone into the whole day.
ReplyDeleteThe band was the "icing on the cake" and added a great festive atmosphere to the proceedings. We thought it was a very accomplished performance.
All in all a most memorable first visit to Baysgarth House and will most certainly be repeated.
